One mourns, while another can grab his stick: Tre Konor made a forced change in the roster.

MONTREAL – The injured forward William Karlsson from the Vegas Golden Knights will be replaced in Sweden’s roster for the Four Nations Tournament in Montreal and Boston (4 Nations Face-Off) by forward Rickard Rakell of the Pittsburgh Penguins. His additional nomination was announced by the “Three Crowns” management.

Karlsson has not played since January 20 due to a lower body injury. Vegas initially assessed his health on a weekly basis, and it became clear that he would miss the upcoming tournament. The 32-year-old center has collected 18 points (7+11) in 38 games this season in the NHL.

Rakell, with 24 goals, is the Penguins’ top scorer and second in team points with 46 in 54 games. He will be the second Penguins player on the Swedish team, joining defenseman Erik Karlsson. The news was reported by TSN.ca.
