Who acquired the TV rights for ATP and WTA for 2024?

Starting in January 2024, the primary broadcaster for all ATP Tour tennis events in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will be the television operator Telly, owned by Lama Energy Group. A new channel, Premier Sport 3, will broadcast the entire men’s tennis season and will be available in the Czech Republic via Telly and also on O2 TV. Other operators are in discussions to include this new channel in their offerings.

Under its ATP Tour broadcasting rights, Premier Sport 3 will air over 60 tennis tournaments. This includes nine ATP Masters 1000 events, 13 ATP 500 tournaments, and 36 ATP 250 events, in addition to the Nitto ATP Finals and the Next Gen ATP Finals at the end of the season. Men’s and women’s Grand Slam tournaments, such as the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open, will continue to be available on Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2.

As for the broadcasting rights for WTA tournaments in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, these rights have been acquired by the French Canal+ Group for the next five seasons, from 2024 to 2028. This includes WTA 1000 and WTA 500 tournaments, selected WTA 250 events, as well as the WTA Finals (known as the Women’s Tennis Championships). These events will be available through the Skylink satellite and internet TV service, which is part of the Canal+ Group, as well as through the Canal+ streaming service, which also offers additional sports content, including the Premier League football.
